Santa had some cuddly visitors this weekend in Regina.
Saint Nicholas took photos with dogs and puppies to support Bright Eyes Dog Animal Rescue.
For a $20 donation, dogs sat on Santa’s lap for a professional photo.
“The money goes towards our vet bills mostly,” Allyson Chartier, Bright Eyes Dog Rescue director, said.
“We’re 100 per cent volunteers so we rely on donations. Right now, our vet bills are over $80,000 for this year alone and there’s still December left.”
Chartier said the organization has helped more than 300 dogs so far this year.
Santa will be at the Pet Valu on Prince of Wales Drive next Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. CT.
