Quebec provincial police, in collaboration with Gatineau police, are searching for an escaped inmate.
David Harvey, 22, an inmate from the Hull detention centre, was receiving treatment in a Gatineau-area hospital Saturday when he escaped.
According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), Harvey reportedly injured a hospital worker before fleeing on foot.
Police believe Harvey could be hitchhiking to his hometown of Montreal.
Harvey was last seen wearing a black coat, pants and hiking boots. He has brown hair and brown eyes, stands 5’11” and weighs 159 lbs.
Anyone who sees Harvey should contact 911 immediately. Police are warning the public not to approach him.
