Saskatoon Transit disruptions Saturday due to ATU job action

Bus service continues to be disrupted after the union that represents Saskatoon Transit drivers moved forward with job action.

The Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 615 has directed its operators to refuse overtime and work to rule as their contract dispute with the city remains unresolved.

As a result, Saskatoon Transit has been forced to make the following cancellations to Saturday afternoon and evening bus services:

  • Route 2 Meadowgreen – scheduled to leave the downtown terminal at 6:15 p.m., 8:15 p.m., 10:15 p.m. and 12:15 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 2 City Centre – scheduled to leave the Confederation terminal at 6:48 p.m., 8:48 p.m. and 10:48 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 3 Hudson Bay Park – scheduled to leave the downtown terminal at 2:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 4 Mayfair – scheduled to leave the downtown terminal at 2:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 7:45 p.m., 9:45 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 4 Willowgrove Square – scheduled to leave the downtown terminal at 1:15 p.m., 3:15 p.m., 5:15 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 10:30 p.m. and 12: 15 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 5 City Centre – scheduled to leave the downtown terminal at 8 p.m., 10 p.m. and 12 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 9 Riversdale – scheduled to leave the downtown terminal at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 9 City Centre – scheduled to leave the Confederation Mall at 2:05 p.m. and 4:05 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 10 Pleasant Hill – scheduled to leave the downtown terminal at 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 10 City Centre – scheduled to leave the Confederation Mall at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 12 Airport – scheduled to leave the downtown terminal at 5:15 p.m., 7:15 p.m., 9:15 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 12 City Centre – scheduled to leave the airport at 5:50 p.m., 7:37 p.m., 9:37 p.m. and 11:37 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 14 North Industrial – scheduled to leave the downtown terminal at 12 p.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 14 City Centre – scheduled to leave Miners and 60th Street at 12:34 p.m., 1:34 p.m., 2:34 p.m., 3:34 p.m. and 4:34 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 18 College Park – scheduled to leave the university at 12:08 p.m., 2:08 p.m., 4:08 p.m. and 6:08 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 18 University – scheduled to leave the Centre Mall terminal at 12:36 p.m., 2:36 p.m., 4:36 p.m. and 6:36 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 23 Hampton Village – scheduled to leave the Confederation Mall at 1:03 p.m., 2:03 p.m., and 3:03 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 23 Blairmore – scheduled to leave the Confederation Mall at 1:37 p.m. and 2:37 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 55 Lakeridge – scheduled to leave the university at 11:06 a.m., 1:06 p.m., 3:06 p.m. and 5:06 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 55 Lakeridge – scheduled to leave 8th Street and Acadia Drive at 11:19 a.m., 1:19 p.m., 3:19 p.m. and 5:19 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 55 University – scheduled to leave 8th Street and Acadia Drive at 11:54 a.m., 1:54 p.m., 3:54 p.m. and 5:54 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 81 University via Taylor Street – scheduled to leave the Centre Mall terminal to the university terminal at 2:08 p.m., 3:08 p.m., 4:08 and 5:08 p.m. will be cancelled today.
  • Route 81 Centre Mall – scheduled to leave the university terminal to the Centre Mall terminal at 1:38 p.m., 2:38 p.m., 3:38 p.m. and 4:38 p.m. will be cancelled today.

Access Transit will continue to operate uninterrupted.

Union members of Saskatoon Transit have been without a contract since 2012.
