2016 Calgary Hitmen holiday video features Mariah Carey’s Christmas hit
For the fifth year in a row, the Calgary Hitmen have produced a fun Christmas video that shows things like players in Santa hats, Christmas decorations and the Hitmen mascot, Farley the Fox.
From 2012 to 2015, the videos were done to more traditional Christmas classics, like Bobby Helms’ Jingle Bell Rock and Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree. This year the video is done to Mariah Carey’s single, All I Want for Christmas Is You.
It starts with an overhead establishing shot of the Scotiabank Saddledome from outside before taking viewers in through the underground entrance, where you meet the ladies of the front office.
Besides being entertaining, there is some very creative cinematography with a one-minute-twenty-second continuous shot that takes you into the Saddledome from the Zamboni entrance, down the hallway and into the Hitmen dressing room.
As in previous years, the video ends with a holiday message from the team and management.
