There was a major traffic disruption along the Bedford highway Monday.
Shortly after noon, an SUV struck a power pole near Kearney Lake Road, which in turn snapped and left power lines dangling across multiple lanes of traffic.
Traffic in the area was backed up for some time. The 84-year-old motorist who struck the pole was not injured in the crash.
