Search warrant results in five people charged with drug trafficking: Valleyview RCMP

Five people face a long list of charges after RCMP executed search warrants on two homes in the northern Alberta town of Valleyview Friday.

“Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, packaging materials, cash and a prohibited firearm were located and seized by Police,” RCMP said.

That seizure included approximately 7 grams of Crack Cocaine, .25 grams of Morphine, 40.75 grams of Cocaine, 42.50 grams of Methamphetamine and $1,800.00 in cash.

Francine Whitely, 48, Brent Garton, 37, Bonnie Kinsella, 35, Maraya Badger, 26, and Sara Dixon, all of Valleyview, were arrested and have been charged under the Criminal Code and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

All of the accused are scheduled for their first appearances in Valleyview Provincial Court on December 1, 2016 at 10 a.m.
