It’s been a while since we’ve heard music from any member of the Spice Girls, but on Tuesday night the internet was given a special treat: a leaked version of the Spice Girls reunion group’s single, Song For Her.

The group, called GEM (not to be confused with Jem, the short for the first names of its members Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Melanie Brown), features three of the original Spice Girls. Only Victoria Beckham and Melanie Chisholm aren’t part of the ensemble.

Others thought it was great, a true throwback to the original Spice Girls.

“It’s funny, because back in the day people thought we had everything written for us but we’ve always written all our own songs,” said Brown to media. “That’s why we’ve won awards and all sorts. Everything always comes from us, and to do something for our 20-year anniversary is the ultimate dream. If we do anything, we will be writing everything from scratch. We are all group texting and speak a lot.”

The rumoured tour has not been confirmed yet, nor are any specific dates or cities.
