‘Violent and dangerous’ Toronto woman wanted in kidnapping investigation: police

A 23-year-old Toronto woman is wanted by police after investigators said a woman was kidnapped from her home, beaten and drugged before escaping her captors a day later.

Toronto police responded to a report of an assault in the West Oak Crescent and Gary Drive area on Nov. 2.

A 24-year-old woman was in a home alone, when police said a man and a woman kicked in her door and forced her into a waiting car.

Police said the woman was then assaulted in the vehicle and driven to an undisclosed downtown address where she was held captive, beaten and drugged.

She was able to escape her alleged captors the following day and contact police.

Andrew Mitchell, 24, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with kidnapping, administering a noxious substance, four counts of overcome resistance by choking and two counts each of forcible confinement, uttering threats, assault, break-and-enter, unlawfully in a dwelling and assault causing bodily harm.

Police said Alana Leigh St. Lewis, 23, has not been located. She is wanted on one count each of kidnapping, forcible confinement, administering a noxious substance, assault, break-and-enter, unlawfully in a dwelling and uttering death threats.

She is described by police as standing 5’2″ with a medium build and black hair.

Police said they believe her to be “violent and dangerous” and said she should not be approached if located.
