A man charged with the death of his roommate is back in police custody after breaching the conditions of his release.
James Gurney is accused in the 2015 death of Gifford George Good Dagger. Good Dagger was found severely injured in an alley in the 900 block of 17 Street South in August and died the next day.
In 2015, investigators said they believed Good Dagger and Gurney had a fight which escalated and led to Good Dagger’s death; Gurney was charged with manslaughter.

On Oct. 6, Gurney was released on a no-cash bail that included multiple conditions such as living at an approved residence and abiding by a daily curfew.
Police said he wasn’t at his residence when they performed a curfew check on Sunday.
Gurney was located on the Blood Tribe Reserve on Monday, at which time he was arrested by Blood Tribe Police.
