Police are asking the public for help finding a suspect wanted in connection with a sexual assault at gunpoint in downtown Toronto.
Toronto police said a man armed with a gun physically and sexually assaulted an 18-year-old woman in the Gerrard Street and Yonge Street area at 4:20 a.m. Saturday.
The suspect then “forcibly removed the woman’s belongings” and left the area heading west on Gerrard Street.

He is described by police as a man in his 20s, with an olive complexion, standing around 6’0″ tall, with a skinny build. He was last seen wearing a purple tracksuit, black hooded jacket, dark baseball hat with a light-coloured brim and black shoes.
Police said that if the suspect is spotted he should not be approached, as he is believed to be “violent and dangerous” and may be armed with a firearm.
