Saskatoon Forecast
Remembrance Day Friday
It’s a bright sunny day, but with strong winds coming from the south at 30 km/h and gusting up to 50 km/h. High 13, which is one degree away from the 14.1 record set in 1981.
Those of you going to Remembrance Day ceremonies in the afternoon should wear a jacket. The double digit high can be deceiving because of the strong winds, which will make it feel more like 4 outside.
Tonight
Tonight it’ll be partly cloudy with a low of 2. The wind will calm to 20 km/h from the southwest in the evening, becoming light overnight.
Normally temperatures at this time of year hover around zero for the daily high and -8 for the low.
Weekend Forecast
Saturday
A weak low pressure system looks to swing through on Saturday bringing in mostly cloudy skies during the day. It’ll be the second last day of double digits in the forecast, so enjoy the estimated 13 high!
A cooler air slump will swing in behind the heat system causing temperatures to dip into your work week.
There’s a slight chance of showers overnight with trace amounts of rain expected to fall. Low of 4.
Sunday
The clouds will clear throughout the day leaving mainly sunny skies with a high of 9. Cool winds blowing in from the northwest at 20 km/h will make it feel a couple degrees cooler outside.
Work Week
Monday
Your work week will start with a mix of sun and clouds, and a daytime high of 10. A system sliding by north of the city will bring us into some warmer air.
Cooler air will slide in behind that system for the rest of the work week with mostly cloudy skies and daytime highs returning to single digit territory.
Overnight temperature will hover around zero with clear night skies.
Tuesday
You can expect some wet flurries in the morning before temperatures rise up to 7 and the skies clear.
Overnight the clear skies will continue, but temperatures will dip below the freezing mark with a low of -6.
Wednesday
It’ll be a sunny day on the prairies, but it’ll be a cool day with a daytime high of 1.
Overnight the cool trend will continue with a low of -7 and clear skies.
Thursday
Snow! Expect a second dose of winter today with 10 to 15 cm of snow falling. It will also be sloppy on the roads as the daytime high gets up to 1.
Overnight the snow will continue and temperatures will stay consistent with a night low of -3.
Friday
The snow will continue on Friday, but only 2 to 4 cm is expected to fall throughout the day. A daytime high of minus 1 will feel like minus 5 because of the cold northerly wind blowing in at 30 km/h.
Overnight temperatures are going to drop to minus 16 and the light snow will continue. Bundle up if you’re going to be outside!
