Almost no progress has been made since the beginning of October harvesting the 2016 Saskatchewan crop due to wet weather.
According to the weekly crop report from Saskatchewan Agriculture, 82 per cent of the crop has been combined, up one percentage point from a week ago.

The five-year average for this time of year is 99 per cent combined.
The southeast is furthest along, with 90 per cent of the crop in the bin, while 73 per cent of the harvest is complete in the west-central region.
Farmers said only a small number of acres were able to be combined in the past week and the majority of the crop harvested had high moisture percentages.
Equipment was also moving slowly through the fields due to the wet conditions.

Rain and snow have lodged standing crops and bleaching and sprouting are causing grade loss.
Producers are now saying the ground will have to freeze before combines will be able to get back onto the land and that some crops will be left out for the winter.
