A persistent southwesterly flow will keep the showers in the forecast this morning.
We will be in between systems tonight and Friday, and breaks in the clouds will return. The lack of cloud cover will also allow for overnight temperatures to cool down tonight.

This weekend will be unsettled as models suggest another fairly well organized system will move inland on Sunday. There is the potential for low freezing levels this weekend.
