FC Edmonton secured its first playoff berth in five years with a 1-0 win over the Tampa Bay Rowdies at a snowy Clarke Field Sunday afternoon.

Vancouver-born midfielder Ben Fisk headed in the only goal in the 13th minute and the Eddies hung on to book their ticket into the North American Soccer League playoffs. The goal was Fisk’s second in as many games. Fisk was able to head the ball from a cross provided by fellow midfielder and Salvadoran international Dustin Corea.

FC Edmonton keeper Matt VanOekel earned a clean sheet with the victory.
