Thanks for Giving! Annual Global Okanagan food drive wraps up

Another Thanks for Giving food drive is in the books. Preliminary numbers for the third annual Global Okanagan food drive show promise.

By 3 p.m. Thursday, $5,800 in cash donations and almost 12,000 pounds of food was donated.

You can still donate online or text FOOD to 41010 to donate $5, $10, $20 or $25 (you specify the amount and it will be added to your phone bill).

Last year, Global B.C. and Global Okanagan collectively raised more than $85,000 in monetary donations and and over 110,000 pounds of food. Global Okanagan raised $6,341 and 6,000 pounds of food.
