Homeowners in North Vancouver are cleaning up this morning after a water main burst and caused some flooding.
Water flowed through garages and basements, leaving one backyard looking like a pool. About nine homes were affected.
The water main burst at the intersection of Golf Drive and Fairway Drive around 1:30 a.m. and homeowners woke up to shovel gravel in front of their homes to try and protect them from flooding.
“It’s not too bad,” said one resident. “The garage had a bunch of stuff on the floor but in the bedrooms most of the stuff was off the floor.”
Crews have shut down the water in the area for now while they fix the problem. Some of the road in the area has buckled as well.
