Two lovers found guilty of conspiring to kill their spouses in Saskatchewan have been released from jail pending their appeals.
Angela Nicholson and Curtis Vey were both sentenced in September to three years in prison for the murder plot.

Defence lawyers said the judge made errors in his instructions to the jury before they were sequestered. Dates for the appeals have not been set.
Court heard that the pair planned to kill Curtis Vey’s wife, Brigitte Vey, and Nicholson’s husband, Jim Taylor.
Brigette Vey testified she suspected her husband was cheating on her and used an iPod to make a recording that detailed an affair and the alleged plot.
Saskatchewan RCMP learned of the alleged plot on July 3, 2013. Three days later, the pair was arrested.

In June, a jury at the Court of Queen’s Bench in Prince Albert found both Curits Vey and Angela Nicholson guilty of two charges of conspiracy to commit murder.
The trial garnered national attention because Curtis and Brigitte Vey are the parents of National Hockey League (NHL) forward Linden Vey.
