Donald Trump has once again raised a few eyebrows with one of his off-the-cuff jokes at a rally.
While speaking to supporters in Iowa, Trump asked audience members to raise their hands if they were “Christian conservatives.” He then asked attendees to raise their hands “if you’re not a Christian conservative.”
He noticed “a couple people” raising their hands.

He then asked the crowd, “Should we keep them in the room?” before answering, “Yes, I think so.”

While many Iowa Republicans are Christian conservatives, critics have often pointed to Trump’s speeches as being pro-Christian while also being anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim.
He has also come under fire from some over his own Christian values given he has now been married three times.

While Trump’s remarks were clearly making an attempt at humour, he has made statements in the past that got him into hot water, which he later described as being sarcastic.
In July, Trump asked Russian hackers to find Hillary Clinton’s missing emails and a few days later, in early August, he called Obama “the founder of ISIS.”
It wasn’t long after that Trump was lampooned for making a similar joke about whether or not a crying baby needed to be kicked out of a rally in Virginia.
