Prince George, along with his sister Princess Charlotte and his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, landed in Canada Saturday for an eight-day tour.

But it’s George’s encounter with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau that has the Internet talking on Sunday.
The Royal Family arrived at Victoria Airport Saturday afternoon and were met by Trudeau and his wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, B.C. Premier Christy Clark and her son, Hamish, and Governor-General David Johnston and his wife, Sharon.
Prince George clung to his dad’s hand as Clark and Trudeau both crouched down to talk to him.
After holding out his hand, hoping for a royal high five, Trudeau was left hanging as George shook his head and refused to indulge the prime minister.

Trudeau also attempted a hand shake, but George wasn’t going to give him that, either.
The British media are having a field day with the encounter.
“The Duke of Cambridge and Kate Middleton’s eldest son might be just three years old but it appears he has already grown accomplished at putting on his airs and graces,” wrote The Independent.
“Canada’s leading politician took it in good spirits, but could not even convince George to shake his hand as the toddler looked unimpressed at the greeting,” wrote The Daily Mail.
“Superstar politician Mr Trudeau might have endeared himself to millions online through his outspoken feminism, support for diversity and willingness to embrace internet memes, but it seems it takes more than that to impress Will and Kate’s eldest,” wrote The Mirror.
While Prince George and Princess Charlotte are accompanying their parents on this Royal Tour, the public won’t see much of them as they will be based in Victoria for the entire trip.
The Royal Family will be in B.C. until next Saturday.
