Nearly 20 years after JonBenét Ramsey‘s unsolved murder, her brother, Burke Ramsey, is participating in an upcoming Dr. Phil sit-down to address the ongoing mystery surrounding her death.

Burke was only 9 when his six-year-old sister was found dead in the basement of his family’s Boulder, Colo. home on December 6, 1996.

There was a very public investigation that had Ramsey’s parents, and Burke himself, as suspects in JonBenét’s murder.

“I remember my mom searching my room that night saying, ‘Where’s my baby? Where’s my baby?” Burke tells Dr. Phil in the three-part interview, which will air on September 12, 13 and 14.

E! News reports that Dr. Phil’s interview with Burke is going to address everything, from the six-year-old’s death to the fact that Burke and JonBenét’s parents are still seen as suspects in the public eye.

Dr. Phil even goes as far to suggest that Burke could have been the killer.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

“Has it ever occurred to you that your parents actually thought you did this and didn’t ask you because they didn’t want to know?” Dr. Phil asks Burke in the interview.

Burke is aware that people still think of him as a suspect, but he wants to honour JonBenét. “I know people think I did it; that my parents did it. I know that we were suspects,” he explains, adding, “I want to honour her memory by doing this interview. I don’t want anyone to forget.”

Since the 1996 murder, JonBenét’s mother died of ovarian cancer and her father remarried.

Burke will speak to Dr. Phil about his late sister’s viewing during the interview. “The casket was small. Her eyes were closed,” he shares.

There are four different TV projects about the JonBenét Ramsey case airing this fall, from CBS, Investigation Discovery, Lifetime and A&E.

The first to premiere will be A&E’s two-hour documentary, The Killing of JonBenét: The Truth Uncovered, on September 5.
