Manitoba RCMP are investigating after one person died in a fire in Portage la Prairie.
Around midnight, Friday, fire crews arrived at home on 15th street.

In a news release police said the fire department managed to extinguish the blaze but when they got inside, they found one person dead.
Police have not said whether it was a man or a woman, but said they were alone at the time the fire broke out.
The forensic unit is now trying to determine the identity.
The cause is under investigation.
