Quebec couple found in U.S. after son reports them missing

A Quebec couple that was reported missing by their son has been found safe and sound.

Denis Blouin, 66, and Jocelyne Savoie, 68, are vacationing in northeastern United States.

Youann Blouin said his parents failed to check in with him on Monday.

“Another couple of Quebecers that knew of the situation decided to keep an eye out for them and their car,” explained Evelyn Boudreau with Laval police.

“They walked on the beach to see if they could find them and they came face to face with them and said ‘you should check in with your son,'” said Boudreau.

She explained Blouin then called police to inform them his parents were safe and he was relieved, albeit a little annoyed that they hadn’t contacted him.
