A male driver in Chuzhou City in China’s eastern Anhui Province was travelling down a narrow street at night, when the little girl emerged from between two cars parked at the side of the road.
“I was driving at a low speed on the road at that time,” the driver told China’s state broadcaster. “Then suddenly a figure came out from between two vehicles.”
The driver slammed on the brakes after seeing the girl run into the street but was unable to stop in time.
“I ran into that figure since I was too close to it,” said the driver.

A loud bang can be heard on the video as the car hits the girl, throwing her several metres before landing and rolling on the pavement.
Unbelievably, the girl is seen getting up and staggering off to the side of the road.
Moments later the girl’s worried mother is recorded running across the street to tend to her child.
Police reported that the girl suffered just minor scratches and bruises.
Authorities blamed the girl’s parents for the accident, saying they allowed her out of their sight.
