The system is expected to move into Manitoba later Saturday evening.

Environment Canada said these types of funnel clouds are normally not a danger near the ground. However, there is a chance their rotation could intensify and become a weak landspout tornado.
Landspout tornadoes do not usually cause significant damage but can still be dangerous.
The federal agency is asking people to treat any funnel cloud sighting seriously and prepare to take shelter if one develops nearby.
