Four suspects involved in grow-op raids have been released from police custody.
On Wednesday morning, shots rang out in a Vernon neighbourhood as RCMP were executing a search warrant. Police said they discharged a round specifically designed to quickly open secured doors.
A 44-year-old man and a 42 year-old woman were arrested at the scene.
Police also arrested a 25-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man at a commercial building in the 2400 block of 14th Avenue, where there was another licensed grow op.

“It is alleged that although licenced, the grow-operations were being operated for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance and production for the purpose of trafficking with possible ties to organized crime,” said Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.
Moskaluk said the four suspects are not facing charges and the investigation is ongoing.
