WINNIPEG — The system that has brought us rain, clouds and dreary weather this week is almost over.
Another five millimetres was expected for Winnipeg on Wednesday and the gusty winds out the north made the day that much more miserable.
Wednesday has also been the coldest day of the month so far. It’s well below our seasonal high of 26 C. Winnipeg will likely stay put at 18 C for the remainder of the day.
So far this month we haven’t dipped below 22 C.
Rainfall numbers in July aren’t looking that great either. Not including the rain that fell Wednesday, we have already reached half of the monthly average for July, which is 79.5 mm.
Winnipeg sits at 39.0 mm so far, so let’s hope the second half of the month is dry. (Readings observed at Richardson International Airport).

The short term forecast does bring some better news.
Skies will begin to clear Thursday, but it won’t be until Friday where we will finally get a lot more sunshine.
