Red Deer RCMP took a man into custody Tuesday morning after neighbours reported he was “agitated” and carrying a firearm.
It happened at around 10:45 a.m. in the area of 58 Street and 69 Street Drive.

Officers immediately surrounded the area and blocked off a section of 69 Street Drive to traffic.
Police say a man was taken into custody from a home in the area. An unloaded rifle was also taken from the residence.
RCMP are investigating but charges have not yet been laid.
The street was reopened to traffic shortly following the incident.
