Engines roared at the Legislature grounds Saturday afternoon as dozens of eye catching exotic cars toured city streets with smiling passengers for the fifth annual Racing for a Cure event.

“We know we’re doing a good job when we see the thumbs up and smiles on every single persons face that gets in and out of the car,” Mike Christiansen said, organizer for Racing for a Cure.

50 kids battling cancer were given the chance to ride in a car of their choice Saturday morning.

He estimated the total value of the vehicles participating in the event to be over $50 million.
