A 25-year-old Edmonton man has been charged with several counts of aggravated assault following an early-morning incident in Sherwood Park over the weekend.
At around 3:20 a.m. on Sunday, June 19, RCMP were called to a rural residence near Highway 21 and Township Road 512 where a man was found with a stab wound. He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Jesse David Hughes of Edmonton has since been charged with six counts of aggravated assault and one count of failing to comply with recognizance.
Hughes was taken into custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Sherwood Park on Wednesday morning.
