A night out in Disney World ended behind bars for Manitoba Moose player Darren Kramer.
The 24-year-old forward was arrested Tuesday morning after he was Tasered by an Orange County police officer.
A police report obtained by Global News detailed the officer’s description of the incident.
The officer said he was attempting to arrest Kramer in connection to a stolen bowling pin display case from a bowling alley in the Disney Springs area of the Florida resort.
During the arrest, the officer alleges Kramer attacked him.
“Kramer stepped forward, lowered his head, hitting me in the chest,” the officer wrote in the report. “I then observed Kramer turn his entire body to me and again his arm as if to strike me again.”
The officer said that is when he deployed his Taser and Kramer was taken into custody.
He has since been charged with Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, Grand Theft and Resisting Arrest without Violence.
Kramer was drafted by the Ottawa Senators back in 2011. He signed with the Manitoba Moose last season where he netted seven goals and spent 138 minutes in the penalty box.
Global News reached out to True North Sports & Entertainment, the owner of the Moose, and a spokesperson declined to comment on the incident.
