An elderly couple is recovering after being injured in a hit-and-run in Abbotsford on June 1.
The couple, an 82-year-old man and a 78-year-old woman, were struck while walking in the 2200-block of Clearbrook Road. The driver of the vehicle fled the area and left the couple injured on the road.
The pair was taken to hospital and treated for multiple injuries including scrapes, bruises and multiple fractures.
Police interviewed witnesses and continue to gather forensic and video evidence.
The vehicle involved in the hit-and-run is described as a black 2014-2016 Toyota Corolla and police said it will likely have damage on the passenger side, close to the side-view mirror.
