Calgary’s goaltending situation requires attention. Karri Ramo, who signed a one-year deal with the Flames last year, suffered a season-ending knee injury in February.

Joni Ortio, 25, split his time between the Flames and their AHL team in Stockton, Calif., last season. He will become a restricted free agent this summer.
