A 39-year-old man is accused of using a baseball bat to smash several windows at the Hinton RCMP detachment over the weekend.
Mounties said officers arrested a man holding a baseball bat whom they say smashed a total of 10 windows at the detachment on Sunday.

They said he was arrested just outside the building and taken into custody without incident. Neither he nor any RCMP members were injured as the events unfolded.
According to police, temporary repairs have already been made and law enforcement services were not disrupted as a result of the incident.
Johnny Ottenbros of Hinton is charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and mischief over $5,000. He has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Hinton Provincial Court on June 1 via closed-circuit television.
