Kelowna family who feared becoming homeless, find a home

KELOWNA — A Kelowna family that had been searching for a rental home for nearly three months and feared becoming homeless are now breathing a big sigh of relief.

Someone who saw Global News‘ story about the plight of the family, offered them rental housing that is within their budget.

“We found a five bedroom in Glenmore. The owner was watching Global news and reached out to us,” mother of six, Christine Kishor, told Global News.

Kishor says the family will be moving into their new home on Tuesday.

Previously, the Kishors thought they had finally found some relief. After searching for a rental home for nearly three months, they thought they were going to move on Wednesday, but, late Tuesday night, they received a call saying that place had unexpectedly become unavailable.

Kishor says they don’t believe they would have found a home to live in that is within their budget if they hadn’t of done a story with Global News.
