UPDATE: June 10 – Neva Evdokomoff, a 48-year-old woman from Kelowna, has been located deceased by US authorities.

Police searched extensively for the Okanagan woman after she disappeared on way back home from Trail in May.

Cpl. Dan Moskaluk with the South East District RCMP office said Evdokomoff’s body was recovered from the Columbia River by Stevens County sheriffs in Washington State Thursday.

The Trail and District RCMP with the B.C. Coroners Service are investigating her death.

Police said there is no indication of foul play in Evdokomoff’s death, but they will not be releasing any further information at this time.

The Columbia River runs south of Trail into Washington State.

TRAIL — Trail RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Kelowna woman.

Neva Evdokimoff, 48, was reported missing by her family on Wednesday.

Trail RCMP was advised on May 25 that Evdokimoff left her family’s residence in Shore Acres on the morning of May 24.

Police say she was supposed to be driving home to her residence in Kelowna.

Trail RCMP has located Neva’s vehicle in the parking lot at Gyro Park in Trail and video surveillance in the area revealed that Neva parked her vehicle there — three hours after leaving Shore Acres.

Evdokimoff was last seen walking toward to the beach area at Gyro Park.

Search and rescue are currently conducting a search of the area.
