WINNIPEG – The province’s wildfire program has lifted evacuation orders for Nora and Florence lakes near the Ontario border.

While residents are allowed to return to their cabins and homes, the province says road conditions have deteriorated since the evacuation was put into place.

The recommended speed limit in the area is now 20 km/h.

Fire crews are working on and next to roads near both Florence and Nora lakes and will at times be removing dangerous trees which will cause intermittent traffic delays.

Meanwhile, the Beresford wildfire is still active on the Ontario side of the border.

Crews are installing additional fire suppression equipment on some remote structures on the Manitoba side of the border.
