Detectives with the Vancouver Police Department’s Special Investigation Section are looking into the attack of a young woman on the streets of East Vancouver yesterday.
It happened at approximately 4:30 a.m. on May 19, on East 8th Avenue between Rupert and Renfrew Street. An 18-year-old was walking down the street when a man approached from behind and pulled her to the ground.
The woman fought off the attacker, who subsequently fled.
A suspect has not been identified.
