They say the best pizza in the world comes from Naples. But now the city has something else to celebrate.
One hundred chefs in Naples, Italy came together to make the world’s longest pizza.
Stretching almost 2kms long, the pizza has set a Guinness World Record.

The pizza, which was displayed along the romantic Naples waterfront Wednesday, took about 11 hours to make.
The recipe included 2,000 kg of flour, 1,600 kg of tomatoes, 2,000 kg of fiordilatte cheese and 200 litres of olive oil, all sourced locally.
The chefs used five specially made portable wood fire ovens that moved like an assembly line to cook the pizza.
Hungry visitors were able to snatch a slice once the record was set.
The event was organized by local chef Alessandro Marinacci from Naples’ Pizza Village.

The event was “absolutely a point of pride for our city, which is the home of pizza,” Marinacci said to Italian newspaper, The Local.
The pizza broke last year’s longest pizza record set in Milan, with a pizza that stretched 1.5 kms. Now, that’s amore!
