While the wildfire on Caddy Lake hasn’t grown, it did destroy a trapper’s cabin as well as an old train station house overnight. In a Facebook post Thursday morning the Whiteshell Cottagers Association wrote “On a very sad historical note – the community did lose our historic station house at Winnitoba. It was a social centre for us for many years before the access road opened in 1998.”
