Surveillance video captures major crash in downtown Winnipeg

WINNIPEG — One person is in hospital in unstable condition after a major crash in downtown Winnipeg Thursday morning.

Several emergency crews were seen at the corner of Fort Street and York Avenue after a two vehicle crash around 7 a.m.

Surveillance footage from the Fountain Tire on Fort Street captured the crash, showing one vehicle flipping on its side.

The scene was starting to clear around 8 a.m. and the vehicle has been flipped. One lane is open on Fort Street. York Avenue remains closed.
