Four suspects arrested, one charged in Prince George targeted shooting

UPDATE: Prince George RCMP’s Major Crime Section took the lead in the investigation which led them to a home in the Blackburn community and a home in College Heights. Four suspects were arrested and one of the suspects, Jamie Wade Fatum, 23, was charged with attempted murder with a firearm; pointing a firearm; and possession of a firearm without a licence. The investigation is ongoing.

Previous story: Prince George police are investigating a targeted shooting that took place Friday morning and sent one man to hospital.

Around midnight on April 29, police received reports of a shooting near the intersection of 17th Avenue and Upland Street.

When officers arrived, they saw a man suffering from a gunshot wound and began first aid until help arrived.

RCMP are asking residents to avoid the area for now, although they do not believe there is a risk to the public.
