Halifax man cut, robbed, while trying to sell cellphone

Halifax Regional Police are investigating after a 21-year-old man was assaulted with a knife and robbed Thursday evening in Clayton Park.

Investigators said the victim was contacted through social media by someone looking to purchase the cellphone.

The pair agreed to meet up near 28 Thomas Raddall Drive.

Police said the victim was in the process of negotiating the sale with the suspect when he was slashed on the hand and robbed of several phones.

The man was treated by paramedics and released.

The search for a suspect continues.
