Toronto man charged with assault after allegedly head-butting senior at Eaton Centre

A 33-year-old Toronto man has been charged with assault after police say he “deliberately” head-butted a 68-year-old woman at the Eaton Centre.

Police said the woman was walking in the popular shopping mall on Saturday, when she stopped to look inside of her bag.

A man then allegedly approached the woman and head-butted her, knocking her to the ground where she sustained a fractured wrist. Police said he then left the area by walking to the Dundas subway station exit.

Jonathan Gallant, 33, of Toronto, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with aggravated assault. He is scheduled to appear in a Toronto court on Thursday.
