PENTICTON – A Princeton man has been sentenced to six and a half years in custody for stabbing his estranged wife in the parking lot of the Princeton Dairy Queen in February 2014.
James Ronald Buhler pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in relation to the attack on his wife and was sentenced Wednesday to six and a half years in prison.
He also pleaded guilty to unlawfully causing bodily harm to his daughter during the same incident.

On that charge the judge sentenced Buhler to two years to be served at the same time as his other prison sentence.
Buhler was also given 3 years and 3 months credit for time already served.
That means he has 3 years and 3 months left on his six and a half year sentence.
Buhler was also handed a 10 year firearms prohibition.
