PENTICTON – The Penticton Fire Department had to deal with a large brush fire Monday morning.
Crews were called out just before 2:00 a.m. to an area along the Okanagan River channel behind the Red Wing housing development.
After the flames were extinguished, a witness reports a homeless camp was found in the fire area and the occupants may have started the blaze.
