Winnipeggers will be cleaning downtown streets for hours to make a difference on Earth Day Friday.
More than 2,800 volunteers have collected about 13,000 pounds of litter with the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ in the past 11 years.
Two clean up events will be held in the city. The first starts at 9 a.m. at Thunderbird House and the other at Millemum Library Park at 2 p.m.
Global News personalities will be helping at both locations during the day.
People can also organize their own clean up and the BIZ will supply garbage bags, gloves and litter pickers.
