LETHBRIDGE- A Lethbridge couple is facing charges related to drug trafficking and causing children to be drug-endangered after an April 12 search of the family’s home in West Lethbridge, ALERT said Tuesday.
ALERT Lethbridge and Lethbridge Police Service seized drugs including cocaine, marijuana, and codeine pills last Tuesday.
“Six people were inside the home at the time of the search, including five children with the youngest being an infant,” ALERT said in a release.
ALERT said they believe drugs were being sold from the home.
A 39-year-old woman and 39-year-old man were arrested; their names are not being released in order to protect the identities of the children involved.
“Victim Services was on-hand to provide assistance and relocated the five youths to a family member’s residence,” ALERT said.

Last week’s search warrant follows an April 2 drug arrest involving the 39-year-old man accused, when a traffic stop resulted in a cocaine seizure from his vehicle.
“ALERT believes the accused was returning to the Lethbridge area after re-loading his drug supply,” the release said.

- 352 grams of powder and crack cocaine
- 155 codeine pills
