Manitoba election results 2016: Click here for a riding-by-riding breakdown of the vote

You can get live Manitoba election results here as voters in the province go to the polls Tuesday, ending a five-week election campaign.

Polls opened at 7 a.m. CT and Manitobans have until 8 p.m. to cast their ballot for the 41st provincial general election. When polls close, you will be able to find live results from the Manitoba election in the interactive map above.

Opinion polls throughout the campaign have suggested the Progressive Conservatives are well out in front after 17 years in opposition.

NDP leader Greg Selinger faces a major challenge in Tuesday’s election. Karine Levasseur, who teaches political science at the University of Manitoba, says voters have not forgiven the NDP for raising the provincial sales tax in 2013.

As of Monday, approximately 109,000 Manitobans had cast their ballots during the eight days of advance voting, according to Elections Manitoba. For the 2011 provincial election, approximately 78,000 votes were cast during advanced polling.
