2 charged in armed robbery of Ontario man selling jewelry online: police

PICKERING, Ont. — Two people are facing charges after allegedly robbing a man selling jewelry online.

Durham Regional Police say the 55-year-old seller met with a woman at a sandwich shop to discuss selling a piece of jewelry he had listed on Kijiji.

They say the woman grabbed the jewelry from him and ran outside.

When the man tried to confront her, police allege a male accomplice pointed a gun at him before escaping with the woman.

The pair were arrested about an hour later at a local hospital, where police say they seized a gun and heroin.

Deshaun Young, 22, and 45-year-old Jennifer Moyer are each facing 10 charges including robbery and using a firearm during an offence.
