SASKATOON – One of the province’s new ridings, Saskatoon University, has named its very first MLA. Saskatchewan Party candidate Eric Olauson won the seat on election day.

Eric Olauson is Saskatoon’s Ward 8 city councillor but will be transitioning to provincial politics.

“If I become an MLA, I will immediately step down from Saskatoon city council,” said Olauson in a statement issued on March 11.
